Europa, under her direction opened its own training school in the Philippines, and had representatives operating in Asia, Spain and South America. Europa was the largest recruiter of overseas workers for employers in the United Kingdom. She was honoured by Sir Charles Forte, of Trust House Forte fame when he named the "Europa Hotel" after her agency, in recognition of her tireless efforts in recruiting the best staff internationally for his chain of Hotels.

Upon Migrating to Australia, she worked for local employment agencies in Perth, as Manager, and then Director of Catering, Hospitality and Tourism Divisions. During this time she introduced international standards of recruitment, furthering this with the opening of her own agency in 1993.

Marie is multilingual, being fluent in Italian, French and Spanish, and is a Member of the Hotel and Catering International Management Association.
